The Gift

If you could wish for one gift this Christmas, what would it be?

I just finished reading a great story; The Gift by Cecilia Ahern. If you could wish for one gift this Christmas, what would it be? Now think about that for a moment–do you have an answer, a truthful answer. Here is another question. Do you know the value of time? Do you know what is truly important in life?

The Gift

One day as Lou is on his way to work he meets a unique individual, a homeless man, sitting outside his office building. Gabe intrigues Lou so much that Lou decides to help him by giving Gabe a job in the company mail room. It is soon after that that things become frustrating and little weird for Lou Suffern. It appears as though Gabe actually has the ability to be at two places at once. This is not the only unbelievable event to happen in this book, but I do not want to give away too much. In reading this story one must keep an open mind and believe in the unbelievable.

If you are looking for a story to read during the holidays that will help you to remember what is truly important in life than Cecilia Ahrens The Gift is a story you must read.

holds an interesting lesson for us all. It is a story about people holding secrets and staging a never won battle with the clock. It is a story of one man, Lou Suffern who always has to be at two places at once and his battle against the clock to keep his family and his work life running smoothly despite time constraints. It is a battle that he seems to be losing as his wife is becoming more and more upset about the amount of time Lou spends at work or at meetings.
