The Grinch Who Saved Christmas
Just a Story with a twist.
Mr. Grinch nodded slowly and told everybody the plan. Since they only had a week to make eleven presents, (and Mr. Grinch already knew what everybody wanted), their would only be at most three people at each station. Jingle would make three dolls with Jangle’s help. Heat and Burgermeister Meisterburger would make one wooden duck that looked like it was done by a professional. Then Frosty and Jack Frost would make five hula-hoop’s that lit up when they hit the ground. And last of all Scrooge would make one candle that was scented like peppermint. Of course Rudolph would carry the supplies to everyone. Mr. Grinch explained that they could not tell anyone about this plan, that is was going to be a surprise to the children of Whoville. If they ever had to talk about it in front of someone, to just call it the elves eleven operation.
The next few days past and everything was going along smoothly. Three days until Christmas and everyone was done with everything and Mr. Grinch was looking over all of the presents, making final touches and wrapping. Once everything was done and wrapped, him and his eleven ‘elves’ had a little celebration for the hard work they had done.
Two days gone and it was Christmas Eve, Mr. Grinch had all the presents packed and was ready to set off to Whoville. All alone in his cove, he watched the clock strike twelve and set off on foot to deliver the gifts to the Whoviller’s.
Down every chimney he would go, just like Santa Clause. Each time he would place one present under the tree and jump back up the chimney. Jumping from house to house had to be the best part of the trip. Feeling the wind going through the hair all down his body, and being in air with nothing underneath you, now that had to be it! Once he got to the last house he knew that he had to do one extra chore while there. The Lou family had a daughter named Mary that had been very sick. He had to go in and give her present in person. Walking through the house on his green tip toes, he finally reach the bedroom where Mary was sleeping. Carefully placing the gift at her feet, she shuffled her body. The Grinch sprang back, only to see that she was moving in her sleep. With the present already set down, he tip toed out just like he had come in and shot back up the chimney.
Later on, Grinch learned that sometimes it’s better to give than receive. Just sometimes seeing the look on children faces can be the best present of all!
