The True Spirit of Christmas

Christmas to many people is about getting presents especially the younger generation, with what they see on the T.V they like to get the latest toys or gadgets, there is nothing wrong with this but people are forgetting what Christmas symbolises not in a religious sense but it’s about families getting together giving and receiving gifts and enjoying themselves, with the “Santa Claus” gimmick parents feel pressured into buying their children the latest things even if they have a tight budget which is quite a lot of parents in the U.K, some children aren’t happy with any gift it mainly has to be the latest thing. In my eyes Christmas to me is a special time where i give and receive gifts but the precious time i spend with my family means a lot to me, in my citation my grandmother has cancer and this could be her last Christmas so seeing her happy at Christmas time has sentimental value, this is not just the case with me there a lot of others out there feeling like this, so remember this when your opening your presents and eating your Christmas dinner just think about the Christmas spirit and enjoy your time and cherish the moments with your family, because at the end of the day life’s too short.
