I was asked a question today.  This question was “do I ever take time to rest”.  I think people who are negative and torture them selves with negative thoughts need a mental day. 

People with goals and ambition are relaxed as they work.  My relaxation comes from planning and setting goals.  I do struggle in life.  However, most of my life struggles are with all the sad faced miserable people who cannot appreciate what they have or cannot work to acquire what they want in life.

Furthermore, isn’t it interesting that the current president of the US practices bad attitude. Those of us who do not agree with his healthcare plan are Nazi’s and malcontents.  People with wealth are greedy people who don’t want to be their brother’s keeper.

I hope we do not spend the next three years listening to this guy’s bad attitude.  This last eight months have been hard to take. I am at the point were I need to move away from politics again.

The only thing keeping me in the game is I see how dangerous Mr. Obama’s policies are to America. A government in control of all aspects of the people who live in America was not what the founding fathers envisioned for this country.

Out of boredom I started reading one of my history college text.  I can honestly say I do not remember reading that book.  However, now the pilgrims coming to America to escape religious persecution and the formation of a government by the people, for the people, and of the people has certain impact.

Every morning I take a group of women to the house they work as maids.  Today they were commenting to each other how there is no life anymore in their country, Mexico.  Two days ago the drugs dealers who are killing people lined 18 people seeking treatment in front of a drug rehabilitation clinic and executed them.  One managed to get away.

This is a prison.  You walk through streets fearing execution but knowing you have no choice but to go out and earn your keep.   Every day you become of aware of incidents that are bringing violence to your home.

A home is supposed to be a place of refuge.  Once you close that door behind you, you should be able to breath a sigh of relief that you made it home alive.  However, now the savages have stated that if the Mexican military does not leave the city of Juarez Chihuahua, Mexico they are going to start executing regular people, instead of just each other.

I can understand the anxiety Mexican people feel about their lives being in danger.  If America stops being the land of non-governmental interference in business and becomes the land were government sets prices and salaries my life will be in danger.  I could not survive in a communist country.

This is why there is a need to shine the light on the blessings America offers.  Freedom is one of these blessings.  The privilege of work is also one of these blessings.  I know many see work as tiresome and boring.

Monday September 7th will be Labor Day in America.  If I am correct this holiday is to celebrate work.  Strange how sometimes we do not appreciate what we have until we loose it.

I heard today that the unemployment rate has now reached 9.7%.  It may not be the time to sermonize about bad attitude as it relates to work.  However, I do consider my writing efforts as teaching efforts.

A long time ago I learned to accept that my great life goal was not going to happen.  In addition, I learned that I could be just fine with the income I earn as a taxi driver. This is when I came to appreciate the ideas of minimalism, which only have what you need.

Lately, I have been obsessed with idea about if I could grow my own vegetables and live of the land, instead of needing to buy groceries at Wal-Mart.  I could very easily buy a small plot of land.  I could even get a small motor home.  

I would save all that money from not paying apartment rent. Moreover, I could build my own simple home. See, this are all positive ideas based on the resources I have at my disposal.

You have to have a lot of resources at your disposal.  The job you had to of required knowledge.  You could write or consult.  You could fix cars, computers, or buy and sell on Amazon.

This is not the world of yesterday were there is only way to personal success.  My definition of personal success is meeting the demands of life while enjoying life.

High-end cities may not allow such leeway.  Who needs to live in NY any way, especially now with all those new taxes?

Yes, our modern world does teach us some bad attitudes.  I have said this many times.  However, we have at our disposal our smart brain.

Moreover, there is no reason why this labor day we should not celebrate.  I plan to eat a lot of hot dogs.  In addition, I also plan to celebrate the day by doing what makes the day special, work.

Work for me is how I get the money to live the life I want.  I work to meet a financial goal.  I reward myself with food for meeting my goals.
