Easy ways to relax and reduce stress fro he long busy holiday seasons..

Top 5 ways to relax after the busy holiday’s

It’s hard to believe that another holiday season has come and gone. For me and my family I have to say it was a great holiday season, lots of family and friends and fun times with the children, but now after all that wrapping, baking, cleaning and traveling I’m ready to put my feet up and relax. And, I know if I’m ready to relax, you probably are ready too… Here are top five ways to relax and relieve some of the holiday stress..

5. Do some Yoga and meditation, or laughter yoga. Any kind of Yoga will relax your mind and muscles. If you are not into the tranquility of yoga and meditation try some laughter yoga, believe it or not laughter brings stress levels down and helps relax you internally. Either or both will leave you feeling relaxed and stress free.

4. Exercise or even better, Sex. Both activities will leave you feeling relaxed and stress free. And at some level both will make you feel good and happy. Get busy and relieve some stress…

3. Did you get a new book or journal this year? Find a cozy corner away from the busy traffic in and around your home, and read or write. This activity will calm you and help you to escape even just for a little while.

2. A soothing foot massage always makes me feel good, of course I don’t want to pay for it. So an easy relaxing solution is to create your own foot massage; unless you already have a foot spa, try a few marbles and a large basin. Cover with hot water, hot enough for your feet…add some essential oils, or some milk, or even a little baking soda.  Soak your feet and roll them back and forth on the marbles… Soak away your stress…

1.My favourite  relaxing activity is….A hot oatmeal and lavender bath. Any regular bath will relax your mind and body, but why not add a little something. Add some Oatmeal and baking soda for dry winter skin, and a bit of lavender for a soothing and relaxing scent.

While you hot bath is running fill an old nylon, sock or cheesecloth with 2 cups of ground up oatmeal and ½ cup of baking soda, place a few dried springs of lavender or add a few drops of essential oil in the water… Tie oatmeal sac to the faucet and let the water run through it. Allow to soak in the water while bathing… Do this once, twice or as often as possible…this is sure to relax and reduce all holiday stress…
