Ah. It’s almost New Years. You know what that means. New Years resolutions. I’m going to lose weight, I’m going to eat healthy, I’m going to be nice to everybody……. . Though many people make New Years resolutions, very few actually keep them for more than 2 weeks. But, if you really do want to keep a resolution, here are some ideas. The top ten New Years resolutions for the year 2009.
New Years resolution #10 – Learn something new. Take some chances! You don’t have to jump out of a plane or anything, just learn about computers, learn how to knit, etc.
New Years resolution #9 – Go back to school. Has there ever been anything you’ve always wanted to do? Maybe it’s a doctor, a physiologist, or anything else. Here’s your chance!
New Years resolution #8 – Help others. Instead of making a resolution to help yourself, why not make one to benefit others? Help an old lady cross the street. Help a kid with their homework. There’s lots of stuff you can do to benefit others.
New Years resolution #7 – Take a vacation. Not many people get to do this now with the prices of airfare. Save up so you can take the vacation you’ve always dreamed about!

New Years resolution #5 – Get a raise at work. You’ve been busting your butt off at work but your boss has not even noticed! Here’s your chance to make your move for that raise. Or maybe even promotion.
New Years resolution #4 – Spend more time with your family. Maybe take a vacation (sound familiar?). Establish a family fun or family game night. Just do something to spend time with them because before you know it they’ll be gone!
New Years resolution #3 – Quit Smoking – This is a VERY popular one. You need to quit anyway! Now is the best time to do it!

Great article! One way of actually keeping your resolutions is to not tell anyone about them. It’s been proven you keep them longer!
