Uncarved Pumpkin

Why can’t people just have a pumpkin without carvings. Whoever started pumpkin carving?

I think its just a waste, and to messy, and after a while it get smelly. It attracts bugs and other insects.

Why not just have pumpkins on your lawn or your porch, without the mess of things and the many carvings.

There so many people that get a kick outta carving a actual pumpkin. So many people just take there time and money to do such a thing. Don’t get me wrong, I understand that people enjoy doing this, but why? Holloween only come once a year.

I’m not being a party poo-per, I just don’t understand why people take their time and frustration out to do this.
