Are you looking for something fun to do this Valentine’s Day that’s unique and fun but different from the traditional date for such a romantic holiday? Below are some ideas that you could consider!

The two of you could make a romantic dinner together at home. You could make something simple like spaghetti or steak or make something new. Either way, the two of you will have lots of fun cooking and sharing the day together. While you are cooking, make sure to put on some romantic music and eat by candle light.

Picnics are a nice romantic gesture and fun for two people to relax and enjoy time together. You can have a picnic indoors. Play nature sounds and lay a blanket on the carpet. You can light lots of candles and put them around the room. You either can prepare foods that you would normally eat outside on a picnic or change things up a bit and get a heart-shaped pizza. Also make a chocolate fondue and either have small pieces of cheesecake or fruits to dip.

If you and your partner have a favorite date where you shared a special memory take those memories and recreate them. Go to the same place, order the same foods, and talk about the fun you’ve had and of the memories you share.

You could find a local place that gives horse and buggy rides through a park. It would be a nice start or end to a very romantic evening. The two of you cuddled up in a blanket, sipping on hot chocolate or wine as you take a romantic horse and buggy ride. You’re date would definitely love it!

Many local zoos have special events they host on Valentine’s Day. Sometimes they host romantic dinners, special lighting throughout the zoo, and fresh flowers. It would definitely be a fun change to traditional events/places.

If you want to spend the night indoors but want to snuggle under the stars, I suggest that checking out the planetarium would be a good date idea. They usually have special events planned for Valentine’s Day night as well as different day shows.

What’s more romantic than dancing close and in your lover’s arms? Maybe you’d like to take your partner out for dance lessons. It’s something fun and a chance to learn something new together and of course be close to the one you love.

Valentine’s Day can be a very busy day and often it might be easier, less stressful, and more fun to spend the evening cuddled up together watching movies and eating a light dinner or snacking.
