Veterans Day

Why Veterans are soon forgotten, after they have been discharged. They fought For our country and for our freedom, why can’t we remember them more than Once a year?

I am very thankful that our Veterans have a special day to be honored, They deserve much more than just one day a year, They fought for our freedom and put their lives in harms way that we might be free, and many lost their lives. Many of our veterans suffer and have flashbacks from being shot, stepping on land mines, losing Limbs, and having mental brake downs and some of them have resorted to alcohol, drugs and other harmful Habits that are detramental to their health, many are homeless and living in shelters, or under bridges, because Our Government doesn’t seem to care. It makes me angry to know that our government is so full of corruption and all they think about is how much it’s going to cost them. They should build more homes for veterans than what the have, They don’t get the proper health care in veterans hospitals that they should, I know because my sister served in the US Army, and they didn’t care for her properly and we had to have her removed out of the veterans hospital to a regular hospital to get the proper care that she needed, sad to say that they left her legs on too! long, she was a diabetic and her legs wrotted and by the time we changed hospitals,it was too! late when they amputed her leg. She passed away in 2006.They say that nothing can be done about it because it is the government and you can’t mess with them and that is why they get away with so much because no one can Touch them. Thank you soldiers for your dedication and hard work, you are heros.
