Watch The Ball Drop Online 2012

Find out where to see the Times Square Ball Drop live online.

Around the world New Year’s Day is one of the most anticipated days of the year. Many, many people in the United States of America will be spending the last six hours before the end of 2011 at One Times Square. Every December 31 at 11:59 PM EST the Times Square ball which is 23m in the air is lowered from a flagpole for the duration of a minute to coincide with midnight and an electronic sign displays the time of the brand New Year. This year is the 107th anniversary commemorating the first time the ball was dropped On New Year’s Eve in 1904. This year’s special guest for the Times Square ball drop is Lady Gaga. She is known for her “Monster Ball” tour and now for  Times Square Ball. For those unable to make it to One Times Square the “Ball Drop” will be broadcast live online.

There are links on that site to see even more Times Square earthcams.
