What’s the Best Thing You Can Give This Yuletide Season?
The best thing in life is free.
People are always saying that the best thing in life is free. The question is – is there still such a thing? Well, maybe there are still some few things that can be considered free. Dreaming I would say is free and limitless but just that, nothing else. You can achieve everything through dreaming but the possibility of achieving those dreams is so thin or very impossible. Dreaming is free but those dreams can’t be achieve free.
In connection to the celebration of the yuletide season, can we celebrate it without spending? Will the kids be happy without money, gifts and other material things? It’s no secret that Christmas celebration has been commercialized and it seems that celebrating the season will not be complete and happy without material prosperity. Needy persons will surely be happy and grateful once they receive gifts from kind-hearted people or groups but the satisfaction and happiness they’ll have will only be good for a day or two.
A virus-free and global warming problem-free environment is absolutely fine. A community that is violent and crime-free is better. But living where everything is free is definitely the best. The truth is – almost nothing is free anymore except the word itself.
So, what thing can we give this holiday season that is free?
SMILE!!! That’s the best thing we can share to everybody without spending a single cent. It is absolutely free with long lasting effect. Try to smile to every person you meet along the way, whether stranger or someone you knew, and who would dare to refuse to smile back if you give your sweetest smile. Smile and you will gain more friends. Smile and you will lose all enemies. It’s the simplest gesture to make peace with others. It’s the simplest form of giving hint to a person that he/she’s forgiven. Smile and you will certainly brighten up someone’s day. Smile and the world will smile back to you. Smile and everything will be light and easy. Smile and everything will turn out right.
Whether we have material things to share this season, it will always be best to share along our sweetest smile to one and all without prejudice and hypocrisy and this world we live in will always be the best place to live in.
Smile and Have a Happy Christmas & a Prosperous and Smiling New Year!

I totally agree and it does work. I have made an effort to do that before now, but it is hard to keep it up unfortunately. I’ll have another go this Christmas.
Happy holidays

thanks for this article – it reminds me of other things in life that are free — but the smile is one you give away and, true, often receive one in return. Bless you, Norbert

Nobert, I have to smile all day at work. We are required to smile before we answer the phone, and it truly does make a difference. You can hear a smile in someone’s voice.
Have a blessed Christmas holiday!

Which is it that uses more face muscles? A smile or a frown – some say it’s a frown. Best wishes and thanks for gleeing me up, j

You are absolutely right, Nobert, A smile is free and you can give one to everybody you meet. And it is about the only thing that is free. It’s hard when you can’t get presents for your kids at Christmas. They will feel left out but the best and only thing we can do about that is explain the situation and help them understand. Many children will do without presents and many will be hungry this Christmas. It is a sad world for so many.
