What Happens After July Fourth?
What happens after July fourth?: This short essay is about the day after a holiday, family and life.
The fourth of July is over. There are no more burgers. There are no more sausages. Forget the fireworks. It is late and our relatives are gone. The truth is that after the fourth of July nothing extraordinary happens. There are no big sales at the mall after the fourth of July. Usually we have these sales after Thanksgiving or after Christmas. We are not having another holiday next week and there are no leftovers to eat for breakfast.
For many of us the fourth of July is a great day. We have a nice time. We have the opportunity to spend time with the in-laws and other relatives. We sing and we dance. That is all. Except that, this year the holiday is Saturday July fourth and many people do not work on Sundays.
After Saturday, July fourth, Sunday will arrive. Yes, Sunday July fifth. There is the possibility we will still have relatives staying over. In addition, it can be possible, that our kids spend the fourth of July at the beach and came back Sunday, at two in the morning. Of course they brought three or four friends with them. We, the parents, will have a full house on Sunday. Then, on Monday, we will be tired at work because our kids left for college late Sunday afternoon. Maybe Sunday, July fifth, will be like any other Sunday or maybe on July fifth we have to go to work. It doesn’t matter what happens after July fourth, be prepare for it and enjoy it.
