What to Get a Woman for Valentine’s Day!

I got my Valentine’s Day decor out today. My Valentine’s wreath for the door and kitchen towels with hearts. I realized, it’s just a month away! Here are some treat and gift ideas for that puzzled man in love…or like :)

Here are some general items that most women would love to get.  Leave the creativity to me.

1. Cards are always good.  Make sure you read it first, unless you want extra points, then make the card.

2. Candy. Always good and general.  Godiva is always a primo choice, or find a local chocolate shoppe near you.

3. Gourmet Cupcakes. Buy just two.  There are many of these cute shoppes that make specialty cupcakes.  They will box them and wrap them.  Remember just two though, even if she has 12 children, these are for her and perhaps you to share only.

4. Jewelry – Diamonds are always a winner.  The trendy item is the Pandora bracelet.  If she doesn’t have one, buy her the bracelet and one charm.  If she has one already, buy her a Valentine themed charm.

5. Dinner – Her favorite restaurant is a pick but for extra romantic points, prepare her dinner yourself.  She will love this!

6. Flowers – Always. Flowers are always a winner. Long stemmed roses or a bouquet of her favorite.  Ask her what she likes and proceed.  Ask her now, like tonight, not on Valentine’s Day.

7. Candle – Women enjoy a nicely scented candle. This is al good stand by.

8. Foot massage – Buy her a gift certificate for a massage and pedicure or for extra romantic points, you do it!

9. A love letter – That’s right.  Just write down how you feel, it will come out great.  Whether you are head over heels or love her as a friend, this will be special.

10. Gift Card Bouquet – Pick 5 places she enjoys and purchase low value gift cards to each.  Example: Starbucks, McDonald’s, Caribou, Smoothie King, Baskin Robbins.  Tape each to the end of a wooden skewer. Tie them together with a big red bow.  Or, if you really have the finances, do the same with high dollar gift cards!

The bottom line is that if you make her feel special, that’s what she really wants.  You can do it!  Happy Valentine’s Day

Of all the items on the list, I’d love me some dinner (home cooked by him) and a love letter. Maybe some chocolates too.

Being an occasional hobbyist silversmith I tend to go with an item of hand-crafted silver jewellery.

Good reminder. I kind of forgot last year and was in rather a lot of trouble!
