I agree with you, Holly! I think that although I dye my eggs, I think about the Resurrection of the Lord. That’s why I made a poem, “The Bedecked Eggs of the Paschal Fest” (You can find it on Associated Content, but because I can’t link to it, you have to use Google.), to connote the eggs as signs of it.

Yeah, I’m not saying to take the chocolate away. I think people need to be reminded the real reason about Easter and about God, and not distort it with chocolate and easter eggs. I just don’t want to see God be lost in the ways we once lived our lives and not be passed on for generations to come.

You need a visit to Cyprus, Easter is their big celebration, it is bigger than Christmas. The whole festival is based on the religion of the Greek Orthodox church, the whole family is involved with the church services and follow Lenten very strictly.
