Xmas Do People Still Celebrate It for The Right Reasons?

I think that now adays more and more people forget what xmas is meant to be about, more people think that it is about presents and food and having fun. How many people remember that it is meant to be a celebration of Jesus being born. The shops all take advantage of it selling food at alot higher prices than they need to just because they know people will buy it no matter what the price.

If it wasnt for the modern advertising then the real reason for xmas might be remembered for the correct reason.  I think that it is a shame that people forget the real reason and buy lots of presents and have become so materialistic.
