5 Global Issues Deemed to be the Most Important Issues in the Philippines

I have listed five global issues deemed to be the most important issues to be given concern by the Philippines.

Economic Inequality

Now that poverty is addressed. It’s time to have equality in terms of economy. Economic Inequality refers to disparities in the distribution of economic assets and income. Typically, it refers to individuality and groups within a society, but it can also refer to inequality among nations.

Addressing economic inequality is addressing the issues on Ethnic Conflicts and Gender Discrimination and Digital Divide as well. Economic inequality is an issue that is immeasurable. It could either be given by or taken from the government. It could refer to effective revenue cash inflow through profit sharing and/or benefits collection. The thing on it is that, equality is achievable and can be met through equal policies and provisions with concrete implementation. It is need to be addressed for inequality resorts to miscommunication, to rally and to crime.

Religious Fundamentalism

Religious Fundamentalism is an issue left opened. It is where visions are perceived and ambitions are made. It is not measured on how near a Religion to truthfulness is or how dedicated and sincere it becomes. Single religion throughout the world is not required. This is issue that does not purport to religion centralization. The country does not need to have a single religion. We only need to have a single view and a single vision.

This issue may seem to be less important, for its effects are not directly defined. Yet, it is an issue that is hard to contain. Terrorism and Nuclear Arms Race and Space Race are few of the issues addressed on Religious Fundamentalism.

The government has to find ways to bestow fundamentals of religion in view of honing individual crafts towards good citizenship and becoming good disciples of God.

Environmental Degradation: Global Warming and Climate Change

Now that we have defined fundamentals in religion, the next big thing that seems to be the most prominent issue in the future is Environmental Degradation.

For majority as of today, especially the leaders, environment is less priority. The importance of environment may not be well-defined or negligence is just highly dominant. Some of the leaders take into consideration the welfare of the people than the preservation of the environment. This concept is erroneous. It has to be balanced. Each is important on its unique ways.

Not addressing this environmental issue will resort to global phenomenon. Environment dilemmas include, but not limited to, deforestation, global warming, climate change, ozone depletion and so forth. If mentioned items were not addressed; all of us will not be able to survive. Remember, it is the environment that allows us and keeping us to survive.

Yes, these issues are not just relating to the Philippines, but to alot of places around the world. If all of the film stars and musicians, and rich people in the world were to only give 1 million each of their many millions of dollars money, it would feed the entire rest of the world, probably for many years to come. It is just that we are living in a world of great divide, a small amount who are greedy with many who are starving and finding it hard to survive, based on bad politics, belief systems and banking institutions. This is the world that puts money first before anything else.

What is your basis (e.g., survey data) for selecting these issues? Thanks.
