Unfortunately too many pit bulls, rots, sheperds, etc.... are owned by punks and are trained in aggressive behavior.<br /> <br /> One year ago my American Eskimo and myself were attacked by 3 massive pit bulls. I fought to keep Simba in one piece but his body was broken badly and his condition was grave. I was holding him when they put him down and he didn't go quietly nor peacefully. He gulped, didn't want to give up, struggled as best he could and after what seemed like a very long time, he was gone. His and the way his life was ended was horrible.<br /> <br /> I am not a violent person and don't believe in having guns around casually BUT if I'd had a gun there would have been 4 dead, the 3 pit bulls and their owner who had spent the previous year training them to jump 6 ft up into the air and strip bark off trees. Zues is part pit but his heart is pure gold. Minnie has a pure golden heart also. They both have been trained the right way with good owners. Zues and Minnie both are angels! The fact that some people think Pit Bulls should be illegal due to being a viscious breed is BS. Granted Zues as an example looks like a possible mean dog on the contrary he really is a huge teddy bear. None the less whether a dog is capable of attacking people for no reason or what ever really depends on the raising of them. But then again thats just this readers honest opinion.
