A Flag of Abkhazia in The World Football Championship

For those with an eagle eye. While the happy members of the Spanish football team were celebrating their victory in the World Championship in South Africa, for a few seconds some spectators were holding a big flag of Abkhazia on the background of the players holding the trophy. The independence of Abkhazia has so far only been recognised by Russia and Nicaragua. Most of the world has no clue that Abkhazia is between Georgia and Russia, on the Black sea coast and that it gained its hardly recognized independence after a short conflict in 2008. Well, showing that flag at that very moment, seen by millions of people around the world was  one more way remember everybody about the existence of Abkhazia. And it also gave me some inspiration to write about it.
