A Full Body Scan
Will they truly develop a body scan for those traveling by plane? I sure hope so, because it would make flying a lot safer, not 100 percent fool proof, but a bit safer.
A Full Body Scan
Planning a vacation, going to fly getting some rest and relaxation; and then you recall someone telling you to be prepared for a full body scan! Well the truth is if it is going save your life and everyone has to go through with it, including pilots and stewardess then it is fair and actually a small thing to endure.
Everyone is in a panic, and I don’t know why? If it will ensure my safety, along with my family and everyone else on a plane, a few thousand feet in the air, without absolutely any control, what’s the problem?
These scans will be designed to pick up bomb materials, powder or residue, or something that is identifiable to the viewer. I would think that better qualified security personal would be hired, with a history of the body’s anatomy, or provide extensive training to those who are already hired and working for an airline.

The reason for understanding and knowing the body anatomy is because items can be place in orifices or openings that should not be present. We all know that woman have smuggled drugs into this country using their vagina as a passage, what is wrong with using the anal cavity for that matter, male or females. All it takes is one or two sticks of dynamic, they blow a hole in a spot or two of the, while the aircraft is at 3,500 feet; and your doomed! Need I say more!
It is not like these scans will show in details with color; like looking at the center fold of Playboy; it would be similar to looking at an x-ray at a doctor’s office, except they would be looking for specific things, such as a doctor would be looking for in a chest x-ray, or a dentist looking for cavities.

It is sad that we have come to this, but between sneaker bomb attempt, items attached to ones’ body, or that of which occurred in the late 1980’s with PAN AM Flight 103, over Lockerbie, along with 9/11.

The last thing I want it to be blown all over a continent or a body of water.

We have to make it our business to keep our country safe, which means that anyone entering this country they too must be scanned before they enter a United States of America Aircraft. If you don’t want to be scanned, don’t fly!

Great job on your article. It would be better to scan the planes. It would make things safer for those who fly.

I totally agree with the scanning idea. Our safety must be placed first, while privacy may be adjusted. A great piece.

I agree…there were several critical security mistakes made recently with that attempt to suicide bomb flight 253 to Detroit….the scan can only help the failed security we witnessed…I still don’t understand why certain people in charge were not fired? And, I really don’t understand why our government had to “lawyer up” this idiot….his dream team lawyers having him plead not guilty! Skip all that and send him to GITMO with those other dangerous terrorists, NOW!
