A Wave of Cyber Bullying: Formspring.me
Many teenagers use FormSpring for fun with their friends… But can it go too far?
Many teenagers use the website Formspring.me as a fun way of communicating with their friends… However, it often leads to Cyber Bullying. Formspring is a website where people can ask other people questions and can either reveal their identity, or remain anonymous.
The use of anonymous questioning can often become problematic; and MANY teenagers are harassing each other by spreading rumours about other people which the answerer knows. But instead of deleting and reporting the messages, many people share them to their facebook, and this encourages people to carry on the bullying and join in.
But there are ways to stop this. You can;
- Stop people from anonymously posting
- Not link it to your twitter or facebook
- Or, the simplest…. Just ignore the question!
By following these simple rules, you can prevent cyber bullying, and help fight the battle against cyber bullies everywhere.
