Abortion: A Closer Look
Abortions will not let you forget.
You remember the children you got that you did not get.

One chance is all I need! If only you let me live!
These unheard battle cries keep on echoing. I feel sorry for those who were not given a chance to see a ray of light. I wish I could do something to give back their stolen lives. But unfortunately, the only thing I could do is pray for their souls. How cruel! I don’t understand and I won’t try to understand the rationale of intentional abortion. It all boils down to one thing – selfishness. Yes! I am a pro-life! No one can, in any circumstance, claim for himself the right to destroy directly an innocent human being.

In the Philippines, the Reproductive health bill has become a contentious national debate. One of its components is prevention of abortion. It states that “abortion remains a crime and is punishable” as the Constitution declares that “the State shall equally protect the life of the mother and the life of the unborn from CONCEPTION since the fetus is a human being from the moment the egg and sperm unite. As such, the fetus has the legal right to life from that instant.
In opposition to pro-life is the pro-choice which favor a woman’s reproductive rights, including a right to choose to have an abortion. Supporters of this believe that fetus is only a potential human being when it becomes viable, that is, able to survive outside its mother’s womb. Until this time the fetus has no legal rights—the rights belong to the woman carrying the fetus, who can decide whether or not to bring the pregnancy to full term.

So, are you a pro-life or a pro-choice? Time to take a stand=)
