Abortion: Legal or Illegal?
by Illegal abortion must be stopped with immediate effect.
The issue of abortion is frowned upon by most people even though under the cover of darkness, they abort babies, advise others to abort it or help them to abort when an unwanted pregnancy rear it’s head.
Yet, ask them whether abortion should be legalized and they’ll speak out forcefully against abortion. Who are we deceiving?
We people believe that we need to take another look at our laws of abortion again. We are not calling for abortion to be legalized. Far be it from that. What we want is a dispassionate discussion on it with the aim of putting an end to illegal abortion.
Because abortion is illegal, many pregnant young people adopt very crude method to abort their pregnancies; they can not go to hospital to have it done.

Whether something is legal or not does not make it right. In some countries it is legal to kill newborns who have the audacity to be girls, and in some places it is legal to kill the elderly and the sick because it saves healthcare dollars. Does the legality of the act make it morally ok? I don’t think so. I do think that people of conscience should fight for the rights of people who have no voice – such as the unborn.
