There are free cell phones available at no cost to you. Absolutely free cell phones that include long distance, text messaging, call waiting, no contract and no fees.

Did you know there are free cell phones at absolutely not cost that are available in the marketplace today? You don’t have to sign a contract or be under any obligation to receive your free cell phone. These free cell phones are wonderful. You receive approximately 250 minutes per month and a wonderful phone. It’s not a high-tech android phone with all of the bells and whistles and for many that need a cell phone, that’s okay.

Qualification for your free cell phone isn’t difficult and not subject to your credit rating. Numerous people already qualify. These cell phones are for people that are income eligible and they pay absolutely nothing, with no contracts, no credit checks and no fees.

Safelink Wireless is a wonderful free cell phone subsidiary of TracFone. The monthly free cell phone service includes 250 monthly minutes with carryover minutes from month to month, texting, international long distance calls, voice mail and free 911.

Safelink is also asking that their customers tell a friend. If you do refer a friend for services through Safelink, you will receive an additional 100 minutes for the month they apply and receive their cell phone service. The 100 minutes are for each friend that you refer that gets approved for the service. Your friend will receive an additional 30 minutes for their phone for being referred.  Their website is .

If you would like to receive more services for your free phone like additional minutes or extra text messaging with your monthly plan, you can receive these at a nominal fee that is envied by any other cell phone users associated with the big cell phone gurus such as AT&T and Nextel.

Qualification is automatic if you participate in assistance programs such as Federal Public Housing assistance, Food Stamps or Medicaid. If your total household income is 135% below the poverty guidelines set by your state or federal government you can receive a free cell phone.

If you don’t participate in any state or federally sponsored programs, you still may qualify for a free cell phone service based on your income. In our current economy, a free cell phone is terrific for getting those call backs when searching for a job and those that may have had to let their regular cell service go because you may have had to cut back on expenses. However, it’s a wonderful way for your children to reach you in case of emergency and for staying in touch in case of emergency with just enough minutes to get by each month.

Seems kind of ridiculous to me. When did having a cell phone become a necessity rather than a privilege?

Bullshit! My mother qualified and ended up filling out 3 applications because they said she did not do it right. But I saw the last application she filled out and it was correct.
After a month went by they told her it would take 3 months to receive it. 3 months went by and she called and they said they do not have an application on file for her.
It is total bullshit and lies.
I believe it to be a scam, getting your personal information and doing who knows what with it. It is NOT a government related business, so your information is NOT safe.
Do not fall for this scam!
