Abused children

Should it be acceptable to hit your own children? Some people agree that sometimes it is necessary and it helps discipline them. Other people are against hitting children and think that words can always prevail eventually. I do know people that have been hit growing up and it has made them stronger. I know people who were really abused growing and it has just left scars for them. There is a line that defines abuse and discipline against children. No child should ever be abused, especially if the child is under the age of ten. Around the age of ten it seems that is the age where they start really growing up and really knows what’s going on and what’s right and wrong. I personally do not believe in abusing children no matter what they have done. Yes a little smack here and there probably is bound too happen and sometimes it might be necessary. I think its abuse when the child gets hit for the stupid things like not going to bed or grabbing a snack or doing bad in school subjects, things among those lines. Yea if the child is ten and harms another child badly in a fight that the child started than maybe it’s acceptable. If a child is getting abused daily, than I think the child is going too be more harmed emotionally than learning a lesson. Like I said, I do not believe in hitting a child, these are just views of people I know and have talked too.
