Confirmation of this came in a statement posted on militant websites, signed ‘general leadership’ Al-Qaeda. This announcement paves the way for the successor to the leadership group.
Vice Osama, Ayman al-Zawahri is now a major figure of this group and most likely will replace the position of Osama.
