ASSAULT IN LAKE HAVASU CITY

How does a grown man, 20 years older, 100lbs. heavier, an Ex-Marine trained for combat, and a JV Wrestling Coach in Lake Havasu City, AZ legitimize chasing down a barely 18 year old young man into the desert and beats him until the kid is on his knees covering his head, yelling, “Okay okay, stop, enough!” because he has a full set of braces.  The kid flipped this man off.  Be careful for that road-rage!  I mean did this guy have a bad day or what?

Theodore Michael Nesmith, 39, of Lake Havasu City, was arrested Saturday (9/18) for assault.  Late Friday (9/17) afternoon the Mohave County Sheriffs Department answered a call to an assault that occurred in Challenger wash.  When the deputies contacted the 18-year-old male victim, the victim reported that he was at a stop sign on Mohican when a yellow Hummer passed by him on Chemehuevi.  The victim reported that the driver of the Hummer was staring and glaring as he drove past.  The victim said that he flipped the driver off for giving him a nasty look and he continued on his way to Challenger wash to do some target shooting.  The victim said that he noticed the Hummer followed him all the way to his destination out in the desert, the guy stayed 1-2 ft. on the tail end of his truck.  The victim further said that the driver of the Hummer floored the vehicle past him and pulled around in front of the victim blocking him in on a dirt road.  The driver of the yellow Hummer left the scene after the he ordered the young man to “GET OUT OF HIS TRUCK AND BE A MAN!”  Then the Ex-Marine struck him multiple times on both sides of his face and in his ribs.  Sheriffs Deputies observed and photographed the bruises on the victims’ forehead and left side of his face, and back.  The Sheriff’s Department located the driver of the Hummer and identified the driver as Theodore Nesmith.  At about 3:15 p.m., the sheriffs deputies made contact with Nesmith.  In talking with Nesmith, he said that the male subject flipped him off and he followed him because he thought the male subject was a friend of his.  Nesmith says that they got into a verbal argument and he hit the male subject several times because the male subject made an aggressive move toward him.  Okay, this 129lb, acne faced little dude made an aggressive move toward the jumbo, muscle Marine Man huh?   Nesmith was taken into custody without incident.  He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Substation. So this young man was beat into the desert dirt, Nesmith told the Sheriffs that he did it and in court yesterday this sorry excuse for a “Man” plead not guilty.   Nesmith says he followed him because he thought he was a “friend”?  I’d hate to be this dude’s enemy.  I really think the Marines would be embarrassed by this “Man’s” behavior.  Why would a 39 year old man hunt down a teenage kid and brutally beat him?  I am going to follow this in court and find out!  The “MAN” was also only charged with assault?  I think he should have been charged with road-rage too.  He’s a JV Wrestling Coach and works with students?  I have not read anything in the local newspaper about him being disciplined by the school district or anything.  Just goes to show, don’t look cross-eyed at anyone, you never know when they’ll blow.
