Animal Abuse

Dogs are said to be mans best friend, protecting you when your in danger, accompanying you when your alone, comforting you when your sad, play with you when your happy, and stand by you no matter what. Humans though on the other hand, not all, but there are many, far to many humans that neglect there protectors, starve them, beat them and mistreat them in ways that you and I can’t even imagine. I know that many of you have seen the T.V. shows that depict a gruesome picture and show you just how many people actually can’t take care of their pets. So what are we going to do about it? Continue to just shake our heads in disappointment in our fellow humans? Or are we going to report abuse when you see it, are we going to speak for those that can’t speak for themselves, are we going to donate and help those who are standing up to animal cruelty? I don’t know what you will do but I know that you know that the right thing to do is for you to get up and take action against those that wish to hurt our pets, our family.

There are many ways that you can help here are a few:

Volunteer at your local Humane Society or Animal Control Shelter

Bring awareness to your family members and friends and encourage them to help out to

Start your own animal rescue shelter (a lot of work but very satisfying)

Donate your ASPCA or a local rescue shelter

Pick up strays and get them to a shelter or vet (please be sure to remember that not all stray animals are nice, and they can be infected with rabies, parvo, and other disease, so wash your hands and clean your car before touching your own pets after rescuing a stray and avoid growling or aggressive animals.)

And remember anything you give is better then not giving at all.
