Anti Piracy Agreement Has Created Stir All Over Europe

Yeah! The name is Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement which is known as ACTA in short. This is an anti-piracy agreement. All over the continent people are protesting against this agreement with the participation of prolific countries like Germany, Poland, Netherland, and England. According to BBC reports around 2000 people were gathered in central London making a lobby against the agreement outside the offices of major rights holders. The major concern is that this agreement is going to put limitations on the peoples’ freedom of expression online.
What the supporters of the agreement say in support of the agreement?
The supporters of this agreement are arguing in support of this agreement by saying that it won’t change the basics of the already existing rules. They believe that the agreement is certainly going to keep a check on the already existing level of online piracy.
How many countries have given approval in support of the treaty?
Although 22 European countries have agreed to the treaty and have given green signal but still a lot more need to be discussed regarding this treaty in the European parliament. UK has agreed to this treaty.

Germany has asked for time for making discussions on this treaty. There are three other countries which seem totally not to agree on this treaty are Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia.

The treaty is believed to be getting rid of the anonymous hackers as in recent past many governmental websites have fallen prey in the hands of the hackers. As there will be little more restrictions or things like piracy hence there will be transparency in the systems and rules as for the belief of the supporters of this treaty.
