Are We Compromising with Moral Values?
Compromising with moral values can be devastating…Please let’s not play with fire…
Moral degradation is a common phenomenon in today’s world. People have taken it for granted. Nobody feels alarmed by the moral decay. Even India being a very conservative country has been easily accepting things that were once upon a time called nasty, dirty, and bad morally. Personally, I am shocked to see today’s world. While discussing about gay relationship, one of my colleagues said that even an insect understands its sexual behaviour; a male insect always mates with a female. But human beings, the crown of creation, we cannot understand it. That is sad. There are also alarming statistics of extra marital & live-in relationships in today’s world which are just outside of God’s frame or standard of marital & sexual relationship.
Recently, I was reading a book and there are few statements that really attracted my attention because they were so true and valuable for everyone to understand. Here are some of them:
“God sees abortion as murder. Satan sees it as family planning.”
“God sees cheating in business is a sin. Satan sees it as shrewd business practice.”
“God calls drinking as a sin of drunkenness. Satan calls it alcoholism, as if it’s a disease.”
“God calls gambling a sin. Satan calls it recreation.”
“God calls lust as a sin of adultery. Satan says it’s a harmless natural desire.”
“God calls homosexuality an abominable sin. Satan calls it as an alternative lifestyle.”
If we view things from God’s perspective, we can understand what is right and wrong, but once we start seeing things from Satan’s point of view we compromise with everything. We just take things for granted. We misuse our free will. Unfortunately that’s what happening in this world today. The world sees everything from Satan’s point of view instead of seeing things from God’s point of view. The world is legalizing sin every now and then. Sin is no more seen as sin, but it has become a way of life. This trend of the world may take it to severe devastation soon as God had warned about the consequences many times through His word.
Today, I wanted all to rise up against sin, but yes not against the sinner off course. I am not against anybody personally. But I am against the choices we make in our life. The choice is ours, whether it is wrong or right. And that’s why we are responsible for our choices. Fiends! Never forget the natural way of living. Honour Godly values. Let’s not compromise with moral values as it can lead to dangerous consequences. Just think for a moment seriously, we are planning only for 70-80 years of our life on this earth; what about eternity? There is life after death. We are all eternal beings. What are we storing for our eternity?
