Betina Finley for Bellevue City Council, Position No. Seven
Background and political platform of Betina Finley, currently running for a city council seat in Bellevue, Washington.

A third generation Bellevue resident who graduated from Bellevue High School and continued on to Seattle Pacific University, Betina Finley has deep community ties to this Eastside city. Betina owns TurnKey Meetings, a national business that engages in polling and consensus building utilizing an audience response system. With three children attending Bellevue Public Schools, living in the same house her grandparents once owned, Betina clearly intends to continue deepening her roots in the Bellevue community.
Armed with her background in creating national public art plans and on the recommendation of then current Mayor Connie Marshall, Betina Finley applied for and was appointed to the Arts Commission in 2003. Going into her second term as Chair, she has helped allocate grant money to local arts organizations as well as served on selection committees for juried art. She has diligently steered her way through the red tape that can be involved when dealing with cities and, in doing so, has been able to present several unique public art pieces to the Bellevue community. In the leadership arena, Betina recently graduated from the Leadership Eastside program, a three year regional leadership development program. All of her experience has culminated into a strong knowledge of public policy and is the experience backbone for her latest run for Bellevue City Council.
Betina’s platform for her candidacy is “Neighborhoods Matter”. According to Betina, “I chose that theme because I want to champion the causes of our neighborhoods. It’s our neighborhoods which make Bellevue a unique, wonderful place to live, work and play. We are a community of many individual areas, all with their own unique characteristics.” If elected for position seven on the council, she promises to listen to diverse community perspectives and be an advocate to make neighborhoods better.
