Black Friday Now Comes to Canada
The american shopping icon of black friday is now being offered to Canadians.
Black Friday is a day that begins just after the Americans celebrate Thanksgiving. It is a day that offers some employees some well deserved time off, other then banks and retailers.
Canada is now beginning the same tradition of this Black Friday and has a website open to allow us to view which sites and retailers are participating.
Many retailers participate with this particular day, by offering sales for Christmas shoppers. Although I do not agree with over commercialization of shopping excessively, and promote second hand shopping, sales are not a bad thing for some new underwear and socks held at a sale. Some things should not be bought second hand.
Black Friday can be used to purchase new items that are needed for your household, but are not sanitary to purchase second hand. Some of the businesses that seem to be participating with this particular form of shopping would be as follows.
Amazon
Best Buy
Game Stop
Wal-Mart
Radio Shack
This is only to name a few locations that are participating with the sales and shopping. The site is encouraging other Canadian businesses to jump aboard, and offer sales for the season.
The website I located, starting on November 27th, 2009 will be hosting a variety of locations that are offering this type of shopping and sales. The site is going to promote deals you can find online, and let you know about stores that you can arrive at a bit earlier if you really want too. Please do not act like a crazy shopper, a death has already occured from a stampede. It is a better solution to show up at regular hours, and let people go ahead of you for safety reasons.
I am also strongly suggesting this route for Canadian businesses to participate in this method of sales. It is a great way to advertise your business, and offer wonderful selections at a lower discounted cost. Many families utilize Christmas shopping with needs instead of desire only purchases. That is how my family does it.
If you are a Canadian business wanting to join in on Black Friday, I strongly suggest to let the site know, and let them know very soon so they can add you to the list of other businesses participating with the sales.
Black Friday ads are a solution for those who need to save a few dollars, but pick up a few needed things for the holidays.I strongly urge businesses who need items for their business to use this day to do so. I always encourage second hand or recycled methods first, which I still do, if you can not find it second hand then Black Friday is the way to go.
I plan on supporting Black Friday, the hard working employees to have a day off, and to pick up items that my family needs like underwear.
Please take precautions with Black Friday, apparently a death has transpired from a stampede in 2008. Now folks, you need to control this shopping with respect to others and not line up for hours before hand to stampede inside the store. People can get hurt. To the businesses participating, make sure you have enough stock for one, and make rules to gaining entrance in an orderly and safe fashion please.
Please visit the site to view the businesses that are participating by clicking here.
