Captain Chaos and The Mall of Emptiness!
I am back with something shocking!
Yep, its time for good old Captain Chaos here to make a triumphant return to article writing! Boy, do I miss the action in writing my articles and now its time I return to triond.com to write more off the wall articles that hardly any one bothers to read, let alone look at! Why do I write these god awful articles knowing all too well nobody looks at them? Well I do so for the shear hell of it because I am pissed off at the world and I want everyone to know how I feel about things, what pisses me off and why I am so off the wall at times! Well, now that I have returned to triond.com and the joy of writing. It is time for The Captain to tell you of something odd that happened to him the other day.
The other day I was shopping at a Mall in my hometown. Now, normally, Malls are very populated places with many people, like say hundreds of people or so walking about in the all the stores shopping around for the sake of…well….shopping! Other people head to malls to chill out with friends or to play the games at the awesome arcades or to eat in the spectatular food court! Sure, there were some people at the food court, some people in the arcade and maybe some people in the stores. However for the most part, this mall was almost a ghost town! Never before have I seen a mall so empty as this one Mall I went to a few days ago. Even at Five oh Clock this mall was short of shoppers, it made ghost towns look populated by comparison!
I did not see any emos, scenekids let alone goths at the Hot Topic (just for the love of all that is good and great DO NOT BURN IT DOWN!!) or the Spencers shoping around. The FYE was devoid of any Anime/Manga fans shopping around for the newest titles from Japan. The Gamestop was empty of Gamers. (Save for a like three or four who were at the arcade, and that place too was almost empty!) Even the food court had less than twenty at most! All the stores I shop at and even some of those I don’t shop at were more lifeless than The Moon! What the hell!? Has the economy truly destroyed the one few place where teens can go and have fun? Regardless, it was very odd to see a Mall this empty. I do not know whether to celebrate or to scream in shock at the emptiness of the Mall (and end up thrown out by the Mall Cops)?
Regardless, The Captain realizes that its time to get serious here! If you truly want to beat this recession into oblivion, then tear your ass from the couch or chair or whatever and go out and SHOP somewhere!! How hard is it to traverse to the store or to a resturant or something and make a purchase! Come on people! Spend your cash! Swipe your cards! Anything! Just for the sake of it all, get out and buy something and stimulate the economy for the sake of getting out of this recession!! I may be talking nonsense but please hear me out!
