Caught on Camera: Parents Who Abuse

Thank god someone had the nerve to speak up when a security webcam that had recently been installed crossed signals with a nearby neighbors webcam, unmasking the psychological and physical abuse of three young children.  The alleged video exposes more than an hour of two of the three children sitting on a couch and holding their hands in the air.  On two separate occasions, a woman was filmed coming into the room and beating the children with a stick.

The woman was later identified as a foster mother of the two children on the video tape and of another child in the house.  Pending investigation, all three of the foster children and three of her biological children have been taken into protective custody,

I want to send giant kudos to whomever reported this video to the authorities.  While often we are told that we need to “mind our own business”, this man obviously knew the difference between minding ones business, and saving the lives of six children.  Unfortunately, the man has decided to stay anonymous, so we may never be able to give him the appreciation he deserves.  That said, these children were very fortunate to have their abuse caught on camera, saves CPS and investigators from having to do a lot of work, as the evidence is all right there.  I don’t know who this woman is, but I hope she is jailed for a very long time, and that her jail sentence includes holding her hands in the air for hours at a time.
