Censorship 3

Organizations such as the American Psychological Association, the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Medical Association, have all concluded that scientific evidence shows a cause-effect relationship between violence in the media and aggression among children who watch it.

Video games especially should be censored with higher, more enforced, ratings. Video games are increasingly influential because they require active participation rather than passive observation. In addition, the repetition of video games increases learning. If games are violent then it sets kids up for violent activity.

If children are frequently exposed to vulgar language, violent behavior, and sexually explicit content, they will copy these behaviors and accept them as moral. Through censorship these indecent behaviors and actions can be limited.

Censorship is important not only for the protection of children, but the protecting the rights of innocent people who just don’t want to be exposed to such immoral images. To achieve the goals of protecting citizens and teaching children correct morals, censorship is obviously the solution.
