Child-parent Relationships Mute Impact of Video Game Violence

While most people associate video games with violent behavior, the game contains violence often accused inspire his players to imitate in everyday life. In fact, the deciding factor to mitigate that impact precisely the quality of the relationship between parents and children.

Banning the sale of video games is not the right solutions to reduce the impact that the prohibition of violence. According to Smith, the banning makes children more curious about the video game.

“Violence is part of the great stories, both literature and fairy tales. Do not let the quality literature that was boycotted just because there is violence in it,” he said.

Violence in video games often bersandingan with positive moral stories such as honor and virtue.
