China and Americas Take on Climate Change
China and America have taken a different stance on climate change. Due to the influence of the Republicans America has put climate change on the back burner. Not so for China. China is changing from the pollution capital of the world to the clean tech laboratory of the world. China’s leaders are scientists and engineers so they don’t waste time questioning scientific data as Americans do.
China and Americas Take on Climate Change
There is no debate in China about climate change. There is no need to debate the issue when the Chinese see, eat and breath it everyday. Here in the U.S. it’s a different matter. The words, “climate change” has become a four letter word which U.S. politicians won’t even say in public. The total disregard and discrediting of climate change in America is very serious. It has put America at a disadvantage by scuttling the Senate passage of the energy-climate bill needed to make clean technologies. While the Republicans were doing everything in their power to make climate change a non issue, China was gearing up to to turn it into a work issue.
China’s scientists and engineers aren’t wasting any time. They are pushing for clean technology. Pollution in China means wasted lives, air, water and money. Too bad, the Republicans fouled up the works when Americans were just waking up to the problem, but China’s limited ability means that it will have to reach out for partners. That will be a great opportunity for the U.S. if we nurture them. While the U.S. is known for radical technology, China is better known for tweaking. They are better at making a million items for a penny each but not good at complex operations or customer service. The U.S. has those capabilities.
We are not smart about providing our own citizens with jobs. Take the example of Mike Biddle who was provided seed money by the American tax payer to invent a process of separating plastic from piles of junked computers, appliances and cars. Today he has factories in Austria, China and Britain. Biddle says his dream is to have factories in America to repay for all those research grants, but Americans recycle only 25 percent of their junk plastic. The rest goes to China and landfills. Biddle said, “I am in EU and China because the plastic is there or being created there. I’m not in the U.S. because there isn’t sufficient quantities of plastic.” So wasn’t that smart? We paid for Biddle’s research and now China and Europe are reaping what we the taxpayer sowed. But on the bright side, at least someone is profiting.

Climate change should be given more attention and efforts to avoid further deterioration which may be out of control and risk humans lives. Thanks for sharing.

An eye opener. I just hope someone from gov’t would finally take this matter more seriously. A great article that calls for action.

Climate change is more of an hoax. And the Chinese have been bought out. Democrats are traitors too. The Republicans know that.
Ever heard of Climategate? Climate change aka global warming is more of a lie. But do not ask Al Gore.

The republicans are doing everything to strip our gears, trying to denigrate Obama. I hope it comes back and bites them in the butt, as long as it doesn’t sink the boat.
