The defendant, Cho, had a miscarriage at the age of sixteen. Due to complications with the pregnancy, her ovaries had to be removed, causing her to become sterile. From this moment for the next eight years she carefully planned and began preparations, for the murder of several women with successful pregnancies. She began by going to college and getting a degree in the field of biological sciences. Cho then proceeded to go to Medical school and successfully graduated becoming a paediatrician. During her time at medical school Cho met Jessica and together they decided to conspire against pregnant women. While working with the young children in the hospital, Cho’s jealousy grew. Cho decided to punish all the woman that were giving birth because she wanted them to feel like she had when she had lost her baby eight years earlier. On September 7, 1993 the victim Lee and her husband Lee entered the hospital. Lee was going into labour and was quickly placed into a room under the supervision of Cho. As the hours passed Cho became enraged at this women and quickly Cho and Jessica decided to kill Lee and her husband. Jessica proceeded to hand the husband some water poisoned with cyanide. After the husband was dead Cho proceeded to inject air into Lee’s blood stream via the IV in her arm. They begin to panic as now they have a newborn baby falling out of the mother`s womb and two bodies on hand. They decide to take the baby and meet up later at Fort Knox. Jessica leaves, and Cho hastily throws the bodies in the incinerator and flees after Jessica. The incinerator was out of fuel though. The police find the bodies later that night because when the pyrotechnic guy came to re-fuel the incinerator he saw the bodies there and called it in . As Cho arrives at the hideout of fort Knox, Jessica is doing house work. She is just disposing of a piano out of the third floor window. Alas the piano falls directly on the baby that Cho had been carrying in her arm under the window. Cho goes into a rage and decides to speed away in her Porsche. Unfortunately she runs over and kills Jessica who was now putting the piano out to the curb. By this time the police had traced them to this hideout and had surrounded them. Cho decided proceeded to pull a gun from her belt and killed officer Chan before surrendering to the police. At trial Cho was found guilty of first-degree murder, second-degree murder, and manslaughter. She was sentenced to life in prison with parole in 75 years.
