Christmas Day Terrrorism, Negligent Arilines, and Us

In this article, I write about my conclusions on the Christmas day terrorist attack. For a long time I have believed we need to start being responsible for our own safety and secuirty.

Back when all of us where screaming over the presidential campaign of 2008, there were two things that I considered of absolute importance. These two things were the economy and national security. It was 0bvious to me that Obama had the inappropriate attitude towards business and terrorism.

On Christmas day we find out again how determined terrorist are to cause harm to Americans. On an international flight a man attempted to bring the plane down by stetting of a bomb. Luckily his device failed to explode.

However, again we see the inappropriate attitude by Obama. I just saw on Fox News that this president has labeled this terrorist incident as an alleged attack. In addition, it took three hours before his staff informed him of the incident.

In my opinion, there are two things a president of the United States needs to do under instances of terror attacks. One is to reassure Americans that their government is working at keeping them safe. The second thing is to prepare for imminent attacks. The president is the only one that can give the ‘kill order”. Had there been more attacks one, two, or three hours after the first attack the president would have been behind the times.

It appears that many involved in this incident were behind the times. The attacker was allowed to board without a passport, paying in cash, and not having any luggage. I can understand why he was allowed to board from his original location. Third world countries have little resources and less motivated staff. The airport in Amsterdam has no excuse. They are not a third world country. The American airline that let him continue was also negligent.

In addition, The American government was also negligent. This attacker was not a person without history. He had a US visa. He was denied a visa by the UK for lying on an application. The person’s father six months ago notified authorities that he was worried about his son’s “radicalized behavior”. I wonder if the UK told the US that they had denied this man a visa for lying on an application. Did anyone inform the US about the father’s concerns?

Now, people are looking for psychological reasons for this man’s acts. There is a simple test for brain damage. A person who may have brain damage has eyes that are not centered. Our eyes keep the same proximity to one another. In the pictures I have seen of this attacker, his left eye is lower then his right eye. I have never heard the man speak, but slurred speech is another sign of neurological problems.
