Climate Change

I recently read an article on climate change and the efforts some politicians and nations are making to counter it.

We have all these big wigs from different countries, probably on huge salaries. Travelling to meetings across the world (on big jumbo jets) to discuss what we are going to do to help the situation. They go on about alternative energy and fuels and how they aim to reduce green house gas emissions by a certain date.

The thing is we have now been having these meeting for years and still no great changes have been made. The truth is as long as the big players can still make money from selling oil (and these are the same people that are funding these meetings on climate control), oil will still be sold and we will continue to destroy this beautiful planet we inhabit.

The real issues we should be tackling in this world are (greed, ignorance, selfishness). We tackle these things and the world would no doubt be a much nicer and healthier place to live in. But unfortunately greed and power are the most important things in our world and the so called leaders of this world are the biggest offenders. The same people on the big salaries that are going to these meetings telling us how we need to change are probably some of the biggest hypocrites ever.

There is no doubt we need to address these issues and it has to start at the grass roots level, but let’s start looking at making better people without the greed and ignorance. Then we truly will be getting somewhere (the rest will fall into place).
