CNN Announces The Death of Osama Bin Laden
The head of al-Qaida was killed in a military operation in the mountains of Afghanistan. In addition to the attacks of September 11, 2001, Washington also believed to have been behind other attacks like the bombing of U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania in 1998.
Washington. - U.S. President Barack Obama announced on Sunday that the leader ofthe Al Qaida Osama Bin Laden is dead, almost ten years after the attacks of Sept. 11, told AFP a senior U.S. official.
The official said on condition of anonymity that bin Laden was dead, but gave nodetails of how the death occurred, citing AFP.
Obama spoke to Americans in a rare appearance on television Sunday night.
This is a big win for Obama and his security team. His predecessor, George W. Bushhad promised on many occasions to bring to justice the mastermind of the attacks ofSeptember 11, 2001 in New York and Washington, but was unsuccessful.
Osama Bin Laden was being sought from that in 2001 managed to elude the U.S.Army and Afghan militia forces in an operation in the mountains of Tora Bora.
But the track is cooled soon after Bin Laden disappeared.
From his hideout, bin Laden has sent messages of warning to the West throughvideotaped messages.

bin laden may be dead but is it really that big? i mean terrorism is not going to stop because one man is killed. After all, thousands are dying ever day and it is not profoundly affecting the world.
