Compassionate, Environmental Design

by Socrates II in Issues, May 25, 2009

Environmentalists, Intelligent Design and Third-World starvation.

Although it sounds preposterous, environmentalists and their ilk truly do believe in a form of intelligent design. They believe they are intelligent, and that they should design our natural environment, despite the adjudications of evolution.

It is a plain fact that certain species which lack the ability to adapt to their environment will die off (a process called natural selection). Environmentalists, in a misguided and pernicious crusade to obtain their ideally designed environment, attempt to manipulate the ecosystem to help the species they want to survive.

This biomanipulation produces ecological disasters which generate endangered species. After all, removing rabbits from an ecosystem doesn’t alleviate any problems of rabbit predators.

Afterwards, rabbit predators become endangered and their populations are asserted to have been diminished by non-environmentalist human actions such as habitat destruction (my house) and/or anthropogenic global warming/freezing (my car and my breath), wrongfully apportioning blame where it doesn’t belong.

Then, further harmful biomanipulation appears honorable and is blindly accepted as necessary. In this process, environmentalists forge ahead through arduous efforts to feed animals, while egregiously ignoring hunger-stricken humans starving to death in third-world hell holes.
