The controversy over the death of two French hostages who were kidnapped in Niger and French troops killed during the intervention to free them bounce back Friday with the release of testimony and request clarification of the victim’s family.

Anthony and Vincent Léocour Delory was kidnapped in January 2011 in a restaurant in Niamey by a group of Al-Qaeda in Islamic Maghreb (AQIM). They were killed when a helicopter shortly after the French gave the convoy attack made by their captors.

The newspaper Libération published the testimony of the alleged AQIM members who report to the French judge, late last November in Mauritania, the story will do the kidnappers outcome of the case. He himself was not present at the time.

This witness, Mohamed al-Amin, provides, in the minutes published by Liberation, Antoine de Léocour killed by the kidnappers because he can not follow the group in flight on foot after the French attack.

According to witnesses, Vincent Delory was killed in a fire at a vehicle caused by fire of the French army.

This story is consistent with the evidence collected at the site in January 2011 by the French police and autopsy findings, which served only after the fact by the public prosecutor in Paris. Antoine de Léocour died from bullets fired from point blank range Kalashnikovs.

Vincent’s body Delory suffered serious burns and bullet marks in five places, prosecutors have said Jean-Claude Marin. He did not rule out that youth could die of burns his or shortness of breath caused by the burning of toxic elements in the car, so the consequences of the French attack.

I’m Frank Berton, Delory family lawyer, however, believe that the progress of the investigation raises new questions. He describes the operation of the French “disaster” and said in several media that he now wanted to know who ordered the attack, and what the exact purpose of the operation.

The suspicion is that Paris has ordered the operation, endangering the lives of two young people, to give such a warning shot to the Islamists, who then multiplies the French hostage taking and a statement of hostility.

A military source familiar with the challenges that have been hidden Defense elements.

“French Defense is always full transparency vis-à-vis the family and the judge. The requested document is declassified for people who just like the judges wanted to ask,” the source told Reuters.

“This is a court case. This will be the judge to determine the potential liability to each other,” they added.

On the staff of the army, we remember that military training is underway without further comment.

Military secrecy was appointed late January 2011 in this case, but the victim’s family believes that things are not delivered to the judge responsible for the issue of terrorism.

Annabelle Delory, brother of the deceased, send a request to the government on Thursday at the RTL.

“We want a recognition on the part of France, that Vincent had been sacrificed, the operation has left him little chance of escape We do not want to. The military to intervene, but we want that France recognizes that there is responsibility.,” He said.
