Most of the countries of this planet is fighting corruption. Corruption disrupts economical growth, destroys ethics, creates crime and ruins social values.

Corruption—defined as the misuse of public office for private gain by UN.

“Corruption undermines everything the law enforcement community works towards. It impoverishes whole communities, and threatens the safety and security of the many for the benefit of a very few” – INTERPOL Secretary General Ronald K. Noble

What ignites someone for doing corruption?

Society to society it may vary. But to summurize we can point out the following factors which ignites (or you may say inspires) someone for doing corruptions.

1. Greed
2. Selfishness
3. Opportunity
4. Bad law and order situations
5. Poverty

Which societies are comparatively more corrupted?

Corruption grows up ergonomically in particular few societies. Specially where

1. Religious ethics are not strongly followed.
2. Traditionally people are having low moral values.
3. Social ethics are not strong.
4. Larger community of the society is with low wages and fight for day to day living.
5. The society enjoys a bad democracy under selfish politicians.
6. Larger community of the society is not or less educated and less job scopes.
7. Ethnical grouping is more and local government capitalizes the ethnic groupings.
8. Politicians and social leaders bear low ethical values.
9. The frequent red tape bureaucratic culture happens.
10. Frequent interference of foreign international business.
11. Government runs with weak institutes.
12. Economical equilibrium is not maintained in the society.

Infact, in every society or country corruption goes on. But place to place, country to country the level, raveness, standard of corruption varies. It is very difficult to bring the level to ZERO. But the level of corruption can be brought low. The prime prerequisite for this is the bold desire of Government. If the government is not much caring to bring it low, it is impossible. Some may vary with me in this aspect. One thing we should understand that government is the overall guardian of everything of a country and he is the only authority who can exercise thorough control on everything of his country.Reducing corruption is the biggest challenge of almost all the governments of the present world. A deliberate research for policy developement should be conducted first as to find out the most effective mode to fight corruption. However, following things can play a better role in reducing corruption.

1. Bold desire of government for reducing corruption.
2. Effective and prompt exercise of law and order.
3. Reducing time in legal processes.
4. Proffessionalism in government agencies.
5. Reducing bureaucratic phases in decision making process.
6. Enhancing cross check in the works of all government agencies.
7. Bringing transparency in all government expenses.
8. Electing good people in leaderships.
9. Increasing employment scopes.
10. Ensuring social security to all citizens.
11. Increasing the wages and salary as to maintain a moderately better standard of living.
12. Social awareness campaign against corruption.
13. Effective poverty eradication projects.
14. Avoid religion based or ethnical affairs in politics, business and in social affairs.
15. Examplery and mendatory fixed period imprisonment punishment of corrupted people covered massly in medias.
16. A national drive with strong motivation covered by patriotic values.

There may be more many modes of reducing corruption in a society or in a country. But an economical equillibrium plan along with good governance by national leaders can really play a vital role in reducing corruption. A national slogan with patriotic values for safeguarding the nation should be the prime drive to fight corruption.
