There is an old maxim often applied to those with political goals.So in this case, the term Corruption“Misuse of a public office for personal gain or other illegal and unethical benefit”.

* Corruption is functionally misuse of confide power of private gain. Corruption comes from the different ways:Bribery, illegal exaction, Frauds, trafficking peculation.

* Corruption is not only a western concept.In any country,society,there is difference between what happen above board and under the table,what is acceptable and non acceptable.

                                         

There are many types of corruption.

When we talk about corruption Bribery is top of the list but the common types of corruption are Nepotism(favouritism), Embezzlement (Misappropriation).

* Bribery:

“An offer of money or favour to influence a public official”

                                    CORRUPTION IN PAKISTAN 

 In Pakistan Corruption become a very serious problem and corruption bring down the money(wealth) in a country.In Pakistan there is no any department where corruption does not survived.

Here we are highlighting those sectors which are badly effected.

1- Police and Law Enforcement

2- Tax and Customs

3-Judiciary and Legal Professions

4-Power Sector ( Wapda)

5- Health and Education

6- Land Administration

                                        

In Pakistan a large number of Corruption cases. A number of Govt employers, politicians and senior military officials have been prosecuted in recent years. Recent examples and careful study of corruption cases, arrests and ongoing investigations can be found in NABannual reports and press records including investigations and arrest of staff and senior management of banking system or NGOs.

                            

 

For example,the former Prime minister Sharif and his family members are involved inquiry for corruption.The former President Musharraf is also under investigation in the case of NRO against chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Ch, Head of Supreme court, charged misuse of jurisdiction and unprofessional behaviour after failing to obtain his voluntary resignation.

                                               

                           

                                               CAUSES OF CORRUPTION

There are many causes of Corruption. Major causes are given below:

*The absence of an inquiry’s structure to deal with corruption.

* A weak civil society

* Low and imbalance economic growth

* Low political competition

                                    

 

                                       SOLUTIONS OF CORRUPTION 

                                   

There are some important solutions of Corruption:

* Liberty of information laws will increase the transparency of Govt operations.

* Improve the accountability efforts to improve the finding out and approving of corrupt acts.

* The alliance, interaction of institutions from the public, private sectors can easily defeat the corruption.

* Diminishing the obstructing of Govt in different economic activity and institutions.

* Create the laws and regulation and should applyable.
