Corruption: The Old Wine in New Bottle

Corruption has been in this society ever since the human civilization started to develop. It has been an integral part of our society and hope will remain for ever. Corruption must have started when men got rewards for his work. He started to cheat and earn the money with little or no work, by this he earned easy money.

Corruption seemed the easy way to earn his desires, when the desires started to overtake his needs. Who is not haunted by the dreams of becoming rich? Everyone is. Many of them work hard to achieve those goals and fulfil their dreams, but some have developed smarter (cunning) brain that can give ideas for becoming richer very soon.
The Indian scenario
Scams, scandals defrauds, subversion, corruption, etc., are the words that manage to capture the headlines everyday. Corruption has spread its evil roots to every level of the government. It is not the bricks that build bridges and other public amenities, the bribe that builds them. Substandard work is the result.

Corruption is not only in the government, it is also found in the minds of individuals and the administration of private companies. Why to leave alone the so-called charitable trusts (?) and non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
Sports have become a new business for corrupt individuals. IPL Cricket and Commonwealth Games 2010 (CWG) are the examples of high level corruption. Transactions of the IPL were not at all transparent and now the Ex-Chairman is under the vigilance lens.

The CWG organizers planned to rent treadmills at a rate of Rs. 10,00,000 a piece for 45 days. The fact is that such treadmills are available for Rs. 4,00,000 a piece in the market. The contract would only benefit the firm which is planning the give these machines to the CWG for rent. They have purchased actually got it for Rs.1,00,000 rent. They will now get a 900% profit.
The contract was cancelled and treadmills are now bought fresh for the CWG after the scam was exposed by a leading newspaper.

If we look into the functioning of every such money spinning organizations and events, we can have many such scams …

I have just posted an article on corruption in my region! Am saddened to learn that my country is the second most corrupt in Eastern Africa! It is the worst crime people in authority should be doing to those they should be serving!

Ephesians 6:12 (King James Version):
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
We need to know that where there is power there will be corruption. ever be surprised; it has been this way from the beginning, as the doctor pointed out in the opening sentence of this article.
