Culture and Civilization in Australia

The civilization is a gift of British Emperor:

To- day a country is rich, to-morrow it may be poor. A few centuries ago, the British Emperor was the only supreme power in the globe but to-day it is not. There is difference between the society of civilized and uncivilized country. The human value of civilization must be protected by the civilized society of developed country and not by the uncivilized people of under developed or developing country. The development of culture and civilization of human being of the present world is mainly due to the development in the last two centuries of British Emperor and for that the citizens of the world must be indebted to the British Rulers. In the period of 16th and 17th centuries British Empire was built up setting colonies in different places of the Globe. The one quarter of the land area of globe was ruled under the domain of British Kingdom. Once it was a saying that “The sun never sets on the British Empire”.

Loss of thirteen colonies in North America was a blow to British Kingdom:

After the loss of thirteen colonies in North America in 1783, the British Rulers thought a fresh for new regions in the globe for British settlement. The attention turns towards Canada. The British created a homeland in the provinces of Upper Canada mainly for English speaking people under the Constitutional Act of 1791. But at that time the French Government and the people of French were also very powerful. The British Rulers had to reach an understanding in settlement with the French Government and permitted the French people to settle in the Lower regions of Canada.

British looked towards the South of Pacific Ocean for new homeland.

British turned their attention towards the South of Pacific Ocean. In 1770, James Cook undertook a voyage in the Pacific Ocean leading to the discovery of new lands for British colonies including Australia and New Zealand. In 1786, the British proclaimed New South Wales where convicts of British Island were transferred. In 1790, the second Fleet of convicts was sent to Sydney regions of Australia. Europeans began to move to the new home land of whites and slowly began to settle there till 1840. India was under British Rule since long but the land of India was pre-occupied with original Indians in high density where British Rulers never thought of permanent settlement. In 1886, the British Province of South Australia was enrolled for the settlement of elite British. In 1842, it turned into a crown colony.

The gifts of India in the development of Australia is justified to recon with:

The resident’s aboriginals initially resisted the British settlement. But the British Rulers kill them mercilessly until they succumb to British Rule. For development of the new place they traded and imported each and everything from India. Therefore, it may be said that the contribution of India in the development of Australia is not less. The youngsters of Australia should know the gifts of India and it is time to reciprocate by the gift of knowledge of new technology and not by the act of arrogance of violence over Indian students who have come to Australia to learn leaving their parents far away in India.
