Dangerous Earth

10 years ago, you didn’t hear half of the filth that’s spoken on TV as there is today. You didn’t see half of the nudety and violence you see today. What happened? Over the years, children have been and still are raised with such things around them everyday of their lives. We wonder why the world is such a dangerous place to be now. Raising our kids with the images that are put in magazines and on television, movies and games is putting them at more risk of ending up in prison or homeless. Everything is gore and swearing and hate and money money money! What more can we expect?

Where did it all come from? Where did it start? No one today can answer these questions, but as human beings, we can show the world and make them more aware of what we have become.

We’ve become killing machines; murdering other people for a number of pitiful reasons and killing our planet out of pure laziness and carelessness. Is this what we want out children to grow up with?

Everyone must know how much the media and today’s entertainment influences our generation and generations to come. Swearing is okay to have on TV and movies; even video games. Nudety is allowed. “We have freedom of speech,” right? Freedom of religion. Just because we have the right, doesn’t make it right.

What makes it right to teach our children and teenagers to swear or have sex with whomever they desire, whenever? To release their anger in violent ways? That’s what the media and everything around us these days is teaching. There is no more shame, no morals and it took only 10 years, as far as I can remember. It’s likely less than 10.

Today is all about money, war and hate. Hate the Americans, hate the Muslims, steal this and that, kill a man for irritating you the other day, have sex as much as you want and kill the baby if you get pregnant with no hard feelings. Divorce your spouse that you swore to love, break the holy bond that you consciously made. Cut the beautiful body you were born with to make a man a woman and a woman a man. Rape! Pillage! Plunder! Have we become nothing but childish pirates? Why does no one try to fix our world? To make the planet a safe place to live in?

Back to the past: ten years ago, children could play in their driveway and walk to and from gas stations to buy candy and toys. Today, children are being abducted from their own backyard. Stolen, raped, mutilated, murdered. This is today’s world. Humans have corrupted it with the vile things that are now “okay” to do and say.

Does Earth have a chance? It can. But only if we can put an effort into opening our eyes and having some order. Have rights, of course! But have our priorities, our children, our lives in the right place.

The main thing is that we have to care.
