Darwin and His Theory

 Like the seasons that appear each year Darwin and his theory gets another airing. It is strange that it is still called a theory and not a fact. This theory seemingly  is based on a couple of simple little finches. One had a beak for eating insects the other for the consumption of seeds. One beak was small and spear like( for insects), the other a larger ,crunching beak (for seed). Most  scientists would know that seed eating and insect eating birds exist side by side to day. Finches are a peculiar lot , when they are hatched in the nest ,they are fed insects. After fledging a change takes place and their diet turns to seed based , this is  a fact, not a theory.

Evolution or Survival of the fittest ?

Is this theory of Darwins in fact a theory of survival? The organisation, Answers in Genesis , expound this theory as do other creationist groups and organisations.  For instance take the wolf, originally a dog /wolf like creature. It is accepted that all dogs are descended from this canine , though back in the mists of time there would be one kind. Some would have long hair others shorter, due to climatic changes, which even creationists agree on, these coats would also change.  The dogs that went to arctic areas would have no need for short hair, while those that migrated to warmer climes, would have no use for long hair. It would seem therefore that this not evolution but the survival of the fittest. Environmental  changes on a global  scale also triggers a survival instinct to adapt. So changes in species can be down to dieterary , environmental and predatory  circumstances.

Missing Link?

Being part of the Darwinian theory, the evolution of man from ape to present day human , seems at worst to be almost obsessive with some scientists. The argument is that we came from apes , the problem with some is that there are still apes and monkeys around to day. This is also true of other species such as crocodiles and lizards. Recently another find in Africa has started the whole argument off again. These findings are happening on a regular basis and still there are no definite conclusions. Yet these finds go hand in hand with Darwins theory and are accepted as the written gospel. It is an up hill struggle for creationists to try to climb this mountain of popular thinking, to get away from the fairy story line of thought. Whether we are descended from apes or spacemen or created in Gods image boils down to in fact personal belief.
