Demographics are politely called statistics because there is a fear that anything involving population is taboo. Demographics is a about fertility rate, mortality rate, age of emancipation, reproduction for example. Demographics help to do statistics of course and census to establish the needs of the government and of the population.

As a matter of fact, the government has to ensure food security. The Food and Agriculture Organization in Rome, Italy helps the peasants to have the tools and seeds to grow crops in sufficient quantities. The problem is quality and without a healthy population there is doubt that agriculture is cared about.

So, population grow in case democracy is available. The United Kingdom and Northern Ireland has been a model of democracy and the population was most important in the world. That is why there is a commonwealth organization. The United Kingdom used to ensure that each child had one liter of milk. China has had an important population growth. Most of the population of China was against Mao who asked them to reduce the birth rate by asking them to have two children per household and this meant a boy and a girl and not the contrary. Africa has had an important birth rate but due to the political problems and health issues there has been a slow down in birth rate due to the pandemic disease.

As a matter of fact, money seems not to be the source of happiness. Each person has to have a goal and make sure he or she is happy with his life. In North Africa, where the birth rate has been important too, populations where worried about the impact of islamisation which has a dilemma between monogamy and polygamy. It is only during the oil crises that it was decided that polygamy was only an option. In this case can we think that this was guided by money or law. In Africa, women complained that men were not fair to them especially when they age. Men tended to replace them by younger women. In Latin America, demographics are not progressing because of the language barrier.

There are not many people who can speak Spanish or Portuguese. Spanish and Portuguese are important with regards to the strategic situation of Spain and Portugal which for the Iberic Peninsula in the Mediterranean Sea. There are explorers from Spain and Portugal who helped discover the New World which is America. Europe has old buildings which date from centuries ago like the Roman ruins and Greek ruins which need to be renovated. Spain and Portugal are to be considered like the memory of Europe abroad and internationally.
