Disaster at Our Fingertips
Smallest kinds of disasters an how to manage them.
There are many ways to communicate now days. One of the biggest ways, is through Facebook. They say of right now, 512,180,060 people have an acount with Facebook. The number one country to use this social network, you guessed it, is the United States. They also say there is around 350 other social networks out there, including Twitter. Other communicating tools today vary from texting, calling, chatting and emailing. We have the Android phone now that you can talk to and it will text for you, give you directions, or even make a phone call. So easy a caveman could do it, no offense to anybody! Communication could never be easier.
There are many places we can eat, meals within minutes, which isn’t anything newer than 60 years. You have Mcdonalds, TacoBell, PizzaHut, and now Zaxby’s. They have a TacoBell Express now, that’s right an Express! Was 8 seconds too long to wait for that Cheesy Burrito? I guess they shoot burritos out of cannons now, as you drive up. According to statistics we, the United States, spend around $130 billion on fast food a year. Wow, that’s alot of indigestion. But not only are these food bad for you, I mean really bad, they take away what was family time at the table.
Have you ever heard of too much of a good thing? Well that’s what’s happening, we the U.S. have too much at our fingertips. Literally, you can buy pizza online and get it delivered to your door, without ever moving. You can buy anything under the sun from Ebay, I mean anything.. It’s killing us, seriously. We’re like the people off the movie Wall-E, controlled by technology. Food will soon be in a cup, and we will have chairs that can fly around. Everything is easier, but it has made things worse.
Not only are we #1 in those things I mentioned, but we are #1 in the Highest Divorce Rate among all the countries. We as a population, by almost 50% are getting divorces, but how? We have over 1000 friends on facebook, our kids get their happy meals faster than you can say “Fried Nuggets”. We are texting people at .01 of a sec, we have faster ways of seeing each other, and we have all these ways of connecting, but we fail at the most important things in life. Instead of these things making time for us, it’s taking all our time, we are addicted.
